Sofia kicks off its largest transit overhaul with €265M in EU funds

Over €220 million goes to extending the metro toward Lyulin with new stations; the rest buys 20 low-floor trams, 75 trolleybuses and 50 electric buses with charging infrastructure — the first e-buses are due in service by spring.
